# Adding files

Open a vault and click **Add files** to choose a source. You can upload files directly or import them from SharePoint, Google Drive, Notion, and Granola, and either way you pick a destination folder so imports land organized.

Importing from a source needs a credential from [Connected apps](/connected-apps/overview). A vault locks to one credential per source the first time you use it, so pick the account whose access should drive future syncs.

## Manual upload

Drag and drop files, or click to browse. PDFs, Word and PowerPoint files, spreadsheets, text files, and images are all supported.

## Google Drive

Browse **My Drive**, **Shared with me**, or any shared drive, and select the files or folders to bring in. A folder imports everything inside it.

## SharePoint

Pick a site, then a document library, then browse and select files or folders the same way as Google Drive.

## Notion

Sync everything, or untick **Sync everything** and select specific pages and databases. Selecting a database syncs every row inside it, including rows added later. If nothing shows up, share your pages with the integration inside Notion first.

## Granola

Connect with your Granola API key, found in Granola under **Settings → Connectors → API keys**. Choose whether to index each note's AI summary, its transcript, or both, and pick which folders to sync.

## Keep sources in sync

Each source can re-sync on a schedule, from every 15 minutes to weekly, set from the vault's **Settings** tab. Use **Sync now** to refresh a source right away. Removing a source's configuration stops the syncing but keeps everything already imported.
